"Prior to Garlean occupation, an annual tradition for Ala Mhigans was the Festival of the Hunt. Beasts of all kinds were caught and let loose on the streets of the capital, and participants from Gyr Abania and beyond participated in their recapture.Fists, acolytes, pikemen, people from all walks of life came to enter the fray. The winner was chosen by who chose to face and catch the most fearsome quarry, capped off with a magnificent feast for all!The Hunt was canceled after Baelsar erected his Wall but now, with the Empire toppled we can proudly say – The Hunt is on!"

What is this?

Welcome to the Festival of the Hunt, Year Two! Like last year, this is a server wide event, meant for people to incorporate into their personal roleplay! This goes for Hunters and Spectators alike!Hunters who sign up will be placed in teams of 3 (with 1 DM!) and will need to have access to the 4.0 dungeon, Ala Mhigo.Explorer’s mode would be most preferable, but unsynced works too.

As a note to Hunters ‐- if you sign up you are considered to be accepted and attending. It is on you to keep track of the date and show up on time!

Do i need to be a hunter to attend?

Absolutely not! We’re going to have spots just outside the city and in the Ala Mhigan Quarter for folks to roleplay witnessing the hunt in the streets and celebrate the hunters when they return. This is meant to be a social event centered around a competition first and foremost.

Where do we Meet?

Please be sure to have Yell Chat enabled for instructions if you're having trouble finding the spot!This is where the Hunt will begin. The crowd can gather, hunters will be split into teams with their assigned DM, where they will review the rules with the players and do a bit of pre-Festival rping. Afterwards, the observing crowds will move to the Ala Mhigan Quarter's rooftops.I will be there to function as an announcer, giving small updates and flavor text about the different teams for atmosphere.

Again, I don’t want folks to feel like they must stay in one place or that they will miss anything for leaving early. Your time is precious!
